The Diffusion of Economic Development in Bendel State of Nigeria
In (he literature on economic development, it is generally accepted, following one of the postulates of the dualistic theory of economic development, that developmental innovations in the developing countries are likely to be imported. This would imply that the areas most likely to get these innovations first will be the points of entry into these developing countries, most probably the coastal port areas.
