Marriage and Aspiration to Professional Leadership of Women Student Teachers in Nigeria
Summary Data from a questionnaire administered to 222 women student teachers of the Faculty of Education, University of Ife, Nigeria, indicated that a significantly greater proportion of the student teachers aspired to pursue master's degree than doctor's degrees. Married and unmarried women differed in their aspiration to be principals of high schools but showed no difference in their aspiration to be vice-principals or special-grade principals of high schools.
