REFLECTIONS ON THEATRE PRACTICE IN CONTEMPORARY NIGERIA
It is not enough to demand only cognition from the theatre, instructive images of reality. Our theatre must arouse pleasure in cognition and organize the joy of changing reality. Our audiences must not only hear of Prometheus freed from his bonds but must school themselves in the enjoyment of freeing him.
