Towards a Framework for the Development of Effective Subcontracting and the Network Relations Among Small, Medium and Large Industries in Nigeria

Effective and well-functioning linkages between smaller business units and larger enterprises will not only increase the production output of the smaller units, but also guarantee sales and make it possible for small businesses to penetrate markets hitherto served only by the large firms. Further, it will facilitate the dissemination of accumulated knowledge of the large businesses to the small and medium enterprises, enhancing the development and transfer of technical know-how and expertise among industries and the efficient utilization of resources.
