Appropriate real estate laws and policies for sustainable development in Nigeria

Purpose The paper seeks to describe the historical development, current status, and operation of real estate law and policy in Nigeria in the context of global requirements for sustainable development. Design/methodology/approach The paper takes the form of a literature and legislative review. It examines the existing real estate law and policy (Land Use Act No. 6 of 1978) in Nigeria.
