Exchange Rate Management Trends in Two African Countries: Nigeria and Malawi

This paper deals with exchange rate management trends vis-a-vis instability in two selected African Countries. The main tenet was to examine the impact and trends of exchange rate instability on the macroeconomy with particular reference to Nigeria and Malawi. The ordinary least square (OLS) technique was used using time series data on exchange rate volatility (VEXCHR), World Gross Domestic Product, Capital Account Balance and Inflation among others.
