APPLICATION OF FRAMING THEORY TO THE REPORTAGE OF RESOURCE CONTROL CONFLICT BETWEEN FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OF NIGERIA (FGN) AND PEOPLE OF NIGER DELTA

This paper sets out to identify propaganda framing techniques adopted by the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) in tackling the resource control conflict in the Niger Delta. The technologies would be identified from the contents of selected Nigerian newspaper reports on the conflict.The research method adopted was qualitative analysis, specifically propaganda framing analysis of the contents of selected Nigerian newspapers.
