Analysis of the Predictive Factors among Young Adult Delinquencies (Case Study of Igbesa, Ogun State)

This study examined the factors associated with juvenile delinquency among 250 youths aged 18–27 years in Igbesa, Ogun State, Nigeria. A cross-sectional survey design was employed, and data were analysed using the Chi-square test of independence. Findings revealed that peer group and social influence (χ² = 432.960, p = 0.000), personal characteristics and behaviour (χ² = 422.416, p = 0.000), and family and home environment (χ² = 111.776, p = 0.018) were all significantly associated with juvenile delinquency.
