Judicial Interventions and Democratic Consolidation in Nigeria

Nigeria’s Fourth Republic has witnessed a progressively deepening reliance on judicial intervention to resolve electoral disputes, with courts, rather than the electorate, increasingly determining political leadership and public confidence in electoral outcomes declining sharply as a result.
