Digital Technology and the Performance of Electoral Ad-Hoc Staff in Nigeria: Insight from the 2023 General Elections

Despite the use of digital electoral technologies, such as the Biometric Voter Accreditation System (BVAS), the INEC Result Viewing portal (IReV), and online recruitment platforms, operational discrepancies between electoral ad-hoc staff continue to exist. This paper therefore, discusses the impacts of digital technology on the work of ad-hoc electoral staff at the pre-election, electionday, and post-election stages of the 2023 general elections in Nigeria, and Bayelsa State in particular.
