United Nations programme of fellowships on disarmament
The idea of establishing a United Nations programme of fellowships on disarmament was proposed initially by Nigeria at the 1978 special session of the General Assembly devoted to disarmament. Nigeria’s suggestion led, after its consideration, to the inclusion in the Final Document of the Tenth Special Session of the General Assembly of paragraph 108 by which the Assembly decided to establish a programme of fellowships on disarmament.
