Conflict and Collaboration: Sierra Leone and Her West African Neighbours, 1961-1980

This article employs a regional, in contradistinction to a continental or global approach to the study of Sierra Leone's foreign policy in the period 1961-1980. In this context, region refers to the sixteen West African states which are members of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS)1 .
