‘babangidaization’ after Babangida: The Nigerian military and the politics of incumbency
Nigeria is one of the few countries in the Commonwealth still under military rule. Despite frequent promises of a return to civilian democracy, Nigeria has been under military rule for all but ten years since independence in 1960.
