Legalizing Displacement

As developments in Nigeria have demonstrated, law and the legal order can be manipulated in order to sustain the state and a section of the society at the expense of the general public. This process was imposed on the people of Nigeria under the guise of promoting development. Although development projects have been elaborately supported by the law, the effect on the welfare of the people has been largely negative.
