Claims the Portuguese made no objection when he seized the Bienfaisant, a French brig from South Carolina, `loaded with produce of that country.' He did not attempt to interfere with another French brig which lay atanchor under the fort at Albufeira. Date and place: 1778 Sept 26 HMS Levant, Lagos Bay.
