2026/2027 LEGAL YEAR: COURT OF APPEAL COMMENCES NEW LEGAL YEAR WITH SPECIAL SITTING IN ABUJA.

As part of activities marking the commencement of the New Legal Year, the President of the Court of Appeal, Hon. Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem, CFR, presided over a Special Court Sitting in Abuja. At the opening session, the President, on behalf of the Abuja Division and the entire Court of Appeal, welcomed judicial officers, members of the Bar and other stakeholders back from the annual vacation. Noting that the special sitting was to help reduce the burden of the Court.
