Nigeria - Green Energy & Biofuels (Geb) Bio-Refinery Project - SEFA Project Summary Note
The Bio-Refinery Project has been developed by Small & Medium Entrepreneurship Fundamentals’ (SMEFunds) for the production of second generation bio-ethanol gel cooking fuel from waste products (currently sawdust and water hyacinth) and distribution of improved clean cookstoves. Following a two-year pilot phase, with 120,000 stoves and 700,000 litres of biofuel sold, SMEFunds had created a spin-off to its successful ethanol biofuel production and cookstove manufacturing activities into a separate company, Green Energy & Biofuels (GEB), in order for it to achieve scale as a stand-alone business.…
