Court Jails one for N3.5m Fraud in Maiduguri
Justice B.T Zannah of the Borno State High Court sitting in Maiduguri, on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, convicted and sentenced one Yagana Musa Mohammed to six months imprisonment. The convict was arraigned by the Maiduguri Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on a one -count amended charge for the offence of criminal misappropriation to the tune of N3,500,000.00 (Three Million, Five Hundred Thousand Naira). The charge reads: "That you, Yagana Musa Mohammed, sometimes in 2025 at Maiduguri, Borno State within the jurisdiction of this honourable court dishonestly
