Can Central Bank Digital Currencies Improve the Delivery of Social Safety Nets?
This paper explores how retail central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) could enhance the delivery of social safety nets (SSNs). It assesses CBDC design features and their implications for payment administration and delivery.
