Theatre in Nigeria

First read as a paper at the National Seminar on Aboriginal Arts in Australia. The present paper is the practice towards the facilities Nigerian theatre of maintaining its controversial, imaginative and militant qualities and that its efforts will not be diverted into the harmlessly folkloristic, the politically inane and the exotic-as has happened in several other African countries of theatres in the Nigeria.
