Anemia, a condition characterized by insufficient hemoglobin levels in the blood, is a significant public health issue affecting adolescents globally, with particularly high prevalence rates in sub-Saharan Africa. This review examines anemia prevention programs in Nigeria and Uganda, focusing on the causes, effectiveness, challenges, and opportunities for improving interventions.
