Usage Pattern and Associated Factors of Natural Mosquitoes Remedies in Endemic Communities of Borno State, Nigeria
This study assesses the prevalence, usage patterns, and socio-demographic determinants of natural mosquito remedies in Maiduguri, Borno State, Nigeria, where malaria remains a significant public health threat. Utilizing a cross-sectional survey of 437 household heads across Mairi, Furi, and Lagos Street, the research revealed a high usage prevalence of 68.4%, with Neem (Azadirachta indica) and Lemon Grass (Cymbopogon citratus) identified as the primary plant-based alternatives to conventional insecticides.
