Conjugative Transfer of Antibiotic Resistance Genes among Enterobacteriaceae in Nigeria: A Systematic Review, Meta-analysis and Molecular Validation

Background: Horizontal gene transfer (HGT), particularly through plasmid-mediated conjugation, is the principal mechanism driving the dissemination of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) genes among Enterobacteriaceae.
