Investigating the Role of Research Data Quality and Regulatory Readiness in Impeding the Translation of Nigerian Scientific Innovations into Local Viable and Global Competitive Technologies.

Nigeria’s vibrant innovation ecosystem struggles to produce scientific innovations that scale into prototypes and into both global- and local-market-ready solutions. Two systemic bottlenecks—poor data quality and fragmented, slow-moving regulatory processes—inflate risk, deter investment, and delay adoption. This mixed-methods study will map barriers, quantify their effects on time-to-market and investment, and co-design policy and operational solutions with regulators, innovators, and industry.
