Economic Burden and Financial Protection of Nigerian Households Affected by Sickle Cell Disease: A Scoping Review Protocol

This scoping review aims to map the existing evidence on the economic burden and financial protection of Nigerian households affected by sickle cell disease. It will examine direct and indirect economic costs, catastrophic health expenditure, financial coping strategies, and existing financial protection mechanisms, while identifying evidence gaps to inform future research and health policy.
