New World Notes - #45 -- Return of the Jello [Biafra]
Like other political/cultural analysts--eg, Orwell, Lenny Bruce, George Carlin, and Michael Parenti--Jello Biafra shows how corrupt language facilitates our rulers' crimes. His shrewd and funny observations are excerpted from a long monologue he delivered this summer. Jello discusses Bush, Jello's former geometry teacher--both masters at destroying the English language--the Rapture, corporations, creative sabotage, and other ways of fighting the power.
