Internet Fraudster Bags 16 Months Jail Term
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal Office, on January 22, 2019, secured the conviction of Temitope Alani Teslim, for Internet fraud. Justice Sherifat Solebo of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos convicted him for the offence bordering on possession of fraudulent documents. He was arrested by officers of the Nigeria Army Corps of Military Police on May 16, 2018 around Ogba, Lagos and was subsequently handed over to the EFCC. During investigation, he wrote three statements, in which he confessed that he was into dating scam. He was re-arraigned today
