Courts Convicts Man For Possession Of Counterfeit Currencies

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC today Thursday June 7, 2018 obtained the conviction of one Chimankpa Nwakuna,who was sentenced to two years imprisonment by Justice Lewis Algoa of the Federal High Court , Owerri on a three -count charge that borders on possession of counterfeit currency. Nwakuna was arrested sometime in January 2016 by the operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) Imo State Command upon a tip-off that the convict belongs to a syndicate that specializes in circulation of fake currency notes.
