Appeal Court Upholds Conviction of Suspect Over N72m Fraud

A three-man panel of the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, on Friday, January 26, 2018 upheld the conviction and sentencing of one Friday David, who was charged on one-count of stealing to the N72,077,082. David was convicted and sentenced by Justice M.O. Obadina of the High Court of Lagos State sitting in Lagos to two years imprisonment for stealing. During the trial, the prosecution counsel called eleven witnesses and tendered 38 exhibits marked P1-P38. The defence also tendered three exhibits marked D1, D2 and D3.
