Illegal Oil Transporters in EFCC Custody
The Nigerian Army, 2 Brigade, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 handed over some suspected illegal oil transporters and three tankers loaded with petroleum products suspected to be Automotive Gas Oil, AGO (diesel) to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for further investigation and possible prosecution. The tankers with registration numbers: AKP 222 XA; BNS 298 XA and AKP 224 XA were each loaded with over 33,000 (thirty three thousand) litres of the suspected AGO, with no conveyance waybill accompanying them.
