Studies in the History of Pre-Colonial Borno

This book is made up of ten studies of the history of pre-colonial Borno, covering some important aspects of the historical experience of its people, and some of their neigh- bours, from early times to the European colonial conquest at the beginning of the twentieth century. It is made up of four sections dealing with, aspects of its pre-history and early history; its economy; its political and administrative organisation; and its external relations and diplomacy.
