Covey, Elizabeth Rockford: b.1873. Daughter of a British army officer; after her marriage in Nigeria, settled in the Qu'Appelle Valley (Morgan, Canadian men and women of the time , 1912). In catalogues sometimes confused with Elizabeth Wynne Fremantle (1779-1857). On title-pages pseudonymous surname spelled Fremantle; sometimes on book cover and in catalogues spelled Freemantle. // On cover: "A story of the Qu'Appelle Valley."
