Section 2 of the Evidence Act is hereby amended in subsection (1) thereof by repealing the definition of the expression "wife" and "husband" and substituting therefor the following new definition ' "wife" and "husband" mean respectively wife and husband of any valid marriage celebrated under any law in force in Nigeria'. 2.
