BmTHS AND DEATHS (COMPULSORY REGISTRATION) DECREE 1979 Decree No. 39 [1st September 1979] THE FEDERAL MILITARY GOVERNMENT hereby decrees as follows: 1.-(1) Notwithstanding the provisions of any laws relating to the registration of births and deaths, the registration of births and deaths shall, as from 1st September 1979, be compulsory in all cases and such registration shall be effected as provided under the aforementioned laws and in the following provisions of this Decree.
