The following Bill, which will in due course be presented to Parliament for enactment, is published for general information. NURSES AND MIDWIVES BILL EXPLANATORY MEMORANDUM Modern progressive views of the two professions of nursing and mid wifery have for some time not been adequately reflected in existing legislation in Nigeria ; and the establishment of a national standard of training of nurses and midwives with supervision and general control exerciseable by a national council is desirable.
