The Multiple Cluster Indicator Survey (MICS) was conceptualized to monitor the progress of Child Survival, Development, protection and participation (CSDPP) Programme as well as to serve as means of data generating mechanism for measuring the achievement and gaps in the targets of Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), particularly as it may affect the children and women.
