National Survey of Agricultural Export Commodities 2005 - Second round
An agricultural export crop is a crop which is currently grown in Nigeria and has export potentials. An agricultural export commodity is the product of any export crop. For example, palm oil and palm kernel are two by-products of the oil palm. A holding is the total land area devoted to the cultivation of any of the 14 listed export crops by an individual called a farmer. A holder is the person who owns a holding, and is therefore entitled to the proceeds from the holding. The major objectives of the survey were as follows: i.
